About two years ago Paris and JCDecaux started the VĂ©lib’ bike sharing program. There is an interesting article in the NY Times about the successes and pitfalls of the program.
As my hometown of Washington DC begins a bike sharing program, I wonder about the feasibility of a similar endeavor here in Cincinnati. I could see Columbus, and their flat landscape, as a place where such a program would thrive. Would Cincinnati’s topography be enough of a hinderance to starting our own potential bike program? Should we look into a Segway sharing program so people can float around downtown with ease?
